About Student and Scholarly Services
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

About the Role
As the Student Events Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the student communications components of the operations that drive and inform the delivery of key student events throughout the Student Administration lifecycle at the University of Melbourne. Your role will work as part of the Graduations and Examinations team within the Student Support and Delivery portfolio to design and deliver targeted student communications that inform and educate students.

Responsibilities include:

Web Content: Maintain the student-facing website content relating to student events managed by the Student Support and Delivery portfolio, as well as relevant student FAQs, intranet pages

Data: Liaison with the data and systems teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of student data used to send communications

Resources: coordinate the work of any additional casual or seasonal events and communications staffing resources as needed and as requested

Student enquiries: liaison with University enquiries teams to monitor the volume and nature of student enquiries

About You
To be successful in this role, your advanced organisational skills will allow you to take ownership of individual workload to ensure tasks are completed to meet with strict deadlines. You will be able to thrive off working under pressure in fast-paced environments in a professional manner. You will have outstanding rapport skills that will easily assist in confidently maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders within your team.

You will also have:

Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience

Previous experience in a communications role involving the drafting and publication of content across multiple communications channels

Experience in process improvement activities, as well as participating in cross-functional working groups or project teams
